Kuala Lumpur, colloquially referred to as KL, is the capital city of Malaysia and the largest city in the country, covering an area of 243 km² with a population of 2,163,000 as of 2022. It is the second-largest national GDP-contributor among the major cities in Malaysia, and forms a part of Iskandar Malaysia, the nation’s largest special economic zone.
