Dunfermline

Dunfermline, known in Scottish Gaelic as Dùn Phàrlain, is a city and former Royal burgh located in Fife, Scotland1. It was the de facto capital of the Kingdom of Scotland between the 11th and 15th centuries, and is home to a fascinating Heritage Quarter, including Dunfermline Abbey, where several Scottish monarchs were buried. Today, it’s a major service centre for the region, with a population of around 55,000. It’s also known for its historic buildings, parks, and cultural events, including the annual Outwith Festival.
